Children with Crohn’s disease may also suffer delayed development and stunted growth. The range and severity of symptoms varies in children with this disease. Crohn's Disease occurs normally in children between the ages of fourteen and eighteen however, there are other cases being reported in children of other ages. Bouts of crohn's attacks may occur every few months or every few years. If crohns disease continues for several years then bowels may be severely damaged. Crohns disease may increase chances for cancer in children by as much as twenty percent.
